This tattoo was created by Biagio to coincide with the client's personal feelings of family. One of the sources of inspiration for this tattoo is pumpkin, which is the meaning of the client's maiden name.
The Trinacria is the symbol of Sicily. Biagio's client of Sicilian heritage wanted to emblazon her back with the image of her motherland. Biagio created an original representation of the Trinacria by utilizing elements of his client's personal life.

Here is a Bald Eagle that has been utilized to cover an older eagle tattoo. An homage to his country, U.S.A., this client wanted to express his patriotism by having the national bird permanently embedded in his skin. The first attempt wasn't enough.
A Blue Crab was chosen by Biagios client to embody his native home and astrological sign, Cancer. His birth month and year was added as a marking to the claw to further personalize his ink. All art is Biagio's original free-hand creation.
My client gave me the challenge to tie his arm tattoo with his kanji on his opposite shoulder with a dragon crawling. Thought I would maximize the space in order to not comprimise the look of the dragon. The difficulty was in getting a 3-dimensional dragon to not look awkward transitioning from the back to the arm. I decided to keep the heaviness of the piece on the back of the body, back of arm, to help the transition. All aspects are completely from my head with no reference. Getting to do work like this makes what I do an absolute pleasure.
